What is the attire?

Answer

Attire for the wedding is black-tie optional. Ladies should wear midi to floor length dresses. Men should wear suits or tuxes. Please no jeans, and no hats during the ceremony.

Are children invited?

We kindly ask for children not to attend. Please come talk to us if you have any questions!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time.

How will I get to the ceremony?

Answer

You may drive or use a rideshare service to get to the church. Drivers can go to Oglethorpe Point Elementary to catch a shuttle to the reception, and if you choose not to drive at the end of the night, you may leave your car at the school overnight.

Can I drive myself to the reception?

Answer

Forbes Farm prohibits guests from driving themselves to the venue. We will have transportation available at Oglethorpe Point Elementary that will transport guests to and from the reception. Uber and Lyft are active on the island and can be an alternative if you choose to not ride the shuttles and go straight to the reception. If you have an outstanding circumstance that requires you to need your own transportation to and from the reception, please let us know.

Where can I stay besides a hotel?

There are plenty of condos, Airbnbs and VRBOs to rent on the island!
