What is the weather in Chicago?

Well it's going to be March. So it will probably be a little on the chillier side! Make sure you pack some layers and a coat that will keep you warm.... and dry!

What’s the best way to get around?
Answer
The EL is great in Chicago. You can purchase a Ventra card at most stations. The card costs $5 but if you register it that gets applied to your rides. (Registering is easy online). You can put money on one card and use it for your whole group! Rides are $2.50 each.

Transportation from Airport?
Answer
Both airports have taxis, Uber’s and the EL available to get downtown. If you take an Uber please note there are specific pick-up points depending what terminal you arrive in. If you take the EL you will either take the Orange Line towards the “Loop” from Midway or the Blue Line towards “Forest Park” from O’hare. On both lines you will have to transfer to the Red Line to get to the hotel. The hotel is closest to the Red Grand stop. From the loop area you take the Red Line towards “Howard”. I recommend you use Google Maps - it’ll give you step by step directions.

Where are we honeymooning?

Portugal! We leave the day after the wedding and we have plans to spend time in Lisbon and the Douro Valley. All recommendations are welcome :)!!

Are you already married?

Yes!!! Although the pandemic pushed our party out a year we were fortunate to be able to get married on our originally planned date May 30, 2020. March 20th's celebration will be a vow renewal for us - but we wanted to have all of our same plans and to have a chance to share our vows with our loved ones!
