He was making lobster rolls. She was making boozy slushies. It was a match made in heaven when you think about it. All it took was a global pandemic, pop-up menu mania, and 100 houseplants to bring them together. For those who don't know, we worked for the same restaurant company and found ourselves navigating through the struggle of keeping restaurants afloat during the Covid crisis. One day we looked up and were working together for the first time making lobster rolls and worms in dirt desserts while talking about musicals, listening to Jason Isbell, telling jokes, and checking each other out. Next thing we knew we were spending every minute we could together and didn't look back.
We knew pretty early on that this was it for us. Roger picked out a gorgeous ring, and we flew to Cancun to a romantic resort to relax for the week.
