First Met 01.01.2012 First Date 10.18.2015 Said "Yes" 12.29.2019

We met each other at the local country bar (shout out to The Roundup) through some mutual friends. We would hang out occasionally here and there, but decided it would be best to remain friends, the best of friends. We both went off to different colleges; however, we still kept in contact during those years. We always seemed to be there for each other for the good and the bad. In 2015 Matt graduated from FSU and moved back to the area. We met up with each other and at that point knew we were meant to be more than "just friends". The rest is history!

We spent the weekend in Georgia with some close friends for the holiday. On Sunday we decided to drive over to Thomasville, GA. to walk the town and visit the winery. Upon arrival, we had learned that more than half of the town was closed down for the day so we made the most of it. We drove over to the rose garden to walk through the roses (there were thousands of them!). As we were admiring them, Matt got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. It was magical. With the town being closed, we only had a few places we could go and celebrate. We opted for the local pizzeria and celebrated with pizza and wine. It was by far the best night we have ever had.
