In Islam, it's believed that the souls who recognize each other in this dunya once shared a connection in the unseen realm—before time, before earth, before breath. Which means that generations before our ancestors ever walked this earth, Allah (SWT) had already written our meeting into existence. How blessed I feel to be gifted a spouse who protects my heart with such tenderness, and whose character and faith pull us closer to our Creator, side by side. And how beautiful it is that Allah—the greatest matchmaker of all—brought us together not only to reunite our two souls, but to unite our families in harmony and love. As the old saying goes: “50,000 years before the sky was introduced to the sea, Allah wrote your name next to me.” May the next 50,000 years and beyond be spent with you—fid dunya wal akhirah.
