Bunratty Castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland, and an absolutely stunning place to explore. They also have a walled garden and an interactive 'living' folkpark where you can step back in time and speak to characters living on the grounds in a 19th century setting!
The Burren offers some beautiful hiking trails, showcasing its unique karst landscape, along with a variety of interesting flora and fauna. While you're in the area, you might also enjoy a stop at the Burren Centre to learn more about the region—or treat yourself to something sweet at the Burren Chocolatier!
For those of you not from Galway, you might enjoy a trip to Saoirse’s hometown, Kinvara. You could explore Dunguaire Castle, a beautifully restored 16th-century tower house right on the water’s edge. A favourite spot from Saoirse's childhood, Coole Park is a magical place for a woodland walk. You can explore the forest, walled gardens, lake, and the ruins of Lady Gregory's home. This spot served as inspiration for many of W.B. Yeats' poems, including the beautiful "Wild Swans at Coole."
