Tiffany and Sanusi first met in the fall of 2018 after Tiffany was introduced to a shared business community. What started as a professional connection quickly grew into a long-standing friendship, mentor-mentee relationship, and trusted partnership that lasted for years, completely platonic the entire time. In February 2025, something shifted. As Sanusi watched Tiffany’s growth spiritually, emotionally, and physically, he realized she embodied many of the qualities he had prayed for in a future spouse. He decided to take a leap and see if there might be mutual interest. After a missed call (Tiffany was not feeling well that day), Sanusi tried again and invited her to Catalyst, a worship night at their church. Tiffany initially assumed it was a group hang until Sanusi gently clarified his intentions and shared what he had admired about her over the years. Not long after, he officially asked her out. Their first date included Catalyst and dinner at Swahili Village, where they quickly realized they had a lot to talk about. So much so that their table literally caught on fire. Everyone was fine, but it made the night unforgettable. Any nerves disappeared, and it became clear that their connection ran deeper than friendship. They dated intentionally, checking in monthly, having meaningful conversations, laughing often, and building a strong foundation rooted in faith and purpose. What began as a friendship of nearly eight years turned into a love that felt both surprising and incredibly right. On November 14th, Sanusi proposed at National Harbor. Tiffany was completely caught off guard and even thought the “Will you marry me?” plate on the table was meant for someone else until she looked up and realized it was their moment. Now, they are stepping into their next chapter, grateful for God’s timing, the journey that brought them here, and excited to become husband and wife.
