Thousands of text messages back and forth all day, everyday, late night phone calls, to what seemed to be hundreds of dates to Olive Garden, to the movies, and McDonald's, I got to know him for who he truly is. So genuine and kind. When I first saw him he looked tough AF! But getting to know him was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was March 1, 2012, he asked me to be his girlfriend under a gorgeous full moon on the porch. Of course, I said I'd have to think about it for literally two seconds and this is where our wonderful adventure began. . .
I believe it was a cold Monday morning and I woke up with a 'Good morning' text from her as usual. But something was different I could feel myself overjoyed with happiness not really knowing why until it finally hit me it was HER! She was the light that gave me hope, she was my angel that brought me out the darkness. I knew she was the one for me. So I decided to go out and make it official. I pulled all my savings and went to Jared's! haha So Saturday night we were cruising around downtown Dallas as we always do, we were going to Fuel City to get an elote. in pajamas. and I took her to the new big white bridge to get a view of the Dallas skyline. God had set the perfect mood for me. I was so nervous but I knew this was the right time. As we stared at the skyline I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She busted out in tears and she said YES! So here we are seven years later, making this lifelong commitment in front of God as our witness.
