There are many rental car companies that are right from Lisbon Airport. You can book directly from the agencies there but, I recommend booking online before landing for a smoother transition. The closest airport to Alcobaça is Lisbon Airport. There a few companies that fly directly from Dulles International airport but, we have found in the past leaving from JFK or EWR in New Jersey brings the price down significantly.
