Question

What should I consider when packing?

Answer

Weather in Texas in October can vary considerably. Plan to dress in layers and check the weather before coming.

When are RSVPS due?

Answer

We need to let the caterer know 30 days prior to the wedding. We are asking for RSVP's to be due by September 1st 2019.

Do you have rooms blocked?

Answer

Yes, we do. Feel free to stay at any hotel though.

Do we have a registry set up?

Answer

The bride and groom do have a small registry set up.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you do not. We will be having an unplugged ceremony and we are going to let the photographer capture the moment. Do not worry we will share the pictures with all.

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes, there will be food, cocktails, and drinks. We will be serving kind of late so you might want to grab a snack before you come. We will have cocktail hour with small snacks, followed by a barbecue dinner.

Who do I contact with any questions?

Answer

If it is not the day of feel free to contact Jake and I. We will respond as fast as possible. If it is the day of please reach out to the wedding coordinator (Lacy) maids of honor, or best man.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be open seating, so we suggest you arriving about 15- 30 minutes prior to the wedding ceremony.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Yes! We want to encourage you to bring one guest with you, please just let us know in the RSVP's. This way we have a head count for food and cake.

What is being served for dinner?

Answer

During cocktail hour, there will be some light snacks. For dinner, it is barbecue, it will be brisket and ribs, lemon butter chicken, Mac and cheese, beans, and salads. Following dinner we will also be having cake and desserts.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids are welcomed, we will not be having a kids table though.

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Semi- formal please, this could be a suit with or without the jacket, cocktail dress, jumpsuits. Be prepared to dance so wear comfy dancing shoes.

The wedding is on a Thursday night, what happens if I can't make the ceremony?

Answer

We still welcome you to join us for dinner, dancing, cake, and cocktails. We would love to see you there. Just please note that in the RSVP's so we have headcount for food.
