Palazzo Suriano Heritage Hotel

We rented this 20th century seaside Villa from 9/23-9/28 as the homebase for the bridal party and venue for our wedding reception. Located in the port town of Vietri sul Mare west of Salerno, the villa has 9 bedrooms with lush terraced gardens overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Guests who are not in the bridal party are still welcome to visit with us before the wedding to enjoy ocean views and aperitivo!

Getting to Vietri Sul Mare

Naples Capodichino is the closest airport to the Amalfi Coast, but many guests may also find the best international travel deals flying into Rome Fiumicino airport. From Naples (NAP) - Alibus train leaves from outside Terminal 1 and transports passengers to Napoli Centrale (Naples Central) Trenitalia railway station in Piazza Garibaldi. AV Train has a high speed train to Salerno in 30min. From Salerno, Vietri Sul Mare is a short taxi or bus ride away from the train station. From Rome (FCO) - Trains depart 2x per day from Rome Termini station to Salerno. The high speed train ride takes about 1.5hrs to reach the Salerno train station. Vietri Sul Mare is a short taxi or bus ride from the Salerno Station.

Traveling to Other Cities on Amalfi Coast

For guests wanting to explore other cities on the coast such as Positano, Amalfi, and Praiano - there are many public options such as taxi, bus, or ferry. For those wanting maximum flexibility, car rentals are available. Please know the Amalfi Coast is famous for its winding two-way highway so you will need to be very comfortable driving! From Vietri Sul Mare there are bus stations and a ferry station located in Salerno (about 10-15 min taxi). The ferry is one of the most beautiful ways to experience the coast and can get you from Salerno to Amalfi in about 45 min for 15 euro both ways. Use the Ferry Hopper website to purchase tickets online. For the most comprehensive public transport plan, I recommend using Rome2Rio website to plan routes that may include a combination of bus, taxi and ferry travel.
