Yes, you are. Congratulations, sir or madam! Regardless if you are able to make this trip, we want everyone to know how important they are to us, and that we cherish your support and approval of one of our lives most intimate moments.
We recommend booking your flights as soon as you're certain you can travel. Booking the ticket as far in advance truly can reduce the flight prices by a significant factor (~2x price / person). This can allow you to have more money to go do fun things on the island!
This depends on if you are planning to stay on the island for an extended period, and how much you want to do and see. The San Juan International Airport (located in Isla Verde, Carolina, PR) is a quick taxi drive from the Fairmount hotel in Carolina, which has plenty of amenities and beachfront for a few day stay. Puerto Rico has good use of Lyft/Uber, and you can easily get around town for dinners if you choose to. We recommend getting renting a vehicle if you want to go exploring multiple beaches, visiting the rainforest, or traveling around to different island areas to sample the food/drink.
You are in luck, as this lovely couple has been blessed with finnicky tummy's and can answer this without hesitation. Puerto Rico has food for everyone's liking with plenty of variety. Vegetarians will have no issues eating on the island with a huge variety of ruffage, root vegetables, and fruits available, and pescatarians will be thoroughly pleased with the bountiful seafood options. From a meat eaters perspective, there are endless pork, lamb, and goat dishes that are truly staggeringly delicious, along with extraordinary traditional dishes everyone should try! For those less adventurous, all typical "American" delicacies are just around the corner.
Puerto Rico is an island off the equator, and will be warm. I would hope your education helped you surmise this bit of information. This is the off-season for the island, and you can expect temperatures in the 80's during the day and 70's at night with moderate humidity throughout. We recommend dressing light, leaving those jeans at home, and bring lots of sun screen (to my fellow melanin reduced peers)!
No, but we expect that you try! We are going to have a live band playing all sorts of US and Latin music. Knowing how to dance Salsa or Merengue will help you in the hierarchy of cool people. There will be more than enough liquid courage available at the open bar to make you remember how to "Macarena." Some say there might even be a bottle of tequila or two floating around as well for further assistance.
As soon as you know you are committed to attending. This is a big deal for destination weddings, so we would appreciate knowing your plans, as soon as you validate them.
Yeah, duh. We are taking offense if you honestly thought of this.
We are having the ceremony start early at 4:30PM (sharp, not PR-time), so that we can get an exceptional view of sunset for our wedding photos as well as guest photos. You can take photos off the ceremony location, or take a stroll on the beach to get photos with waves and palm trees. The sun will set ~ 6PM.
