FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We need everyone's RSVP's by November 6th! If we do not get a response before Nov 6th, we will be reaching out for confirmation.

Question

When should I make hotel reservations?

Answer

ASAP! There are two other events at the hotel that same weekend which will likely fill up the rooms. The sooner you can book a hotel room the better. There are other hotels within walking distance if the Doubletree fills up, but we only have a hotel block with the Doubletree.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered here on Zola, which you can access via the Registry tab on the top of this website or via this link:

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at least thirty minutes early, by 10:30am, to account for parking, finding your seat(s), and pre-wedding chatter. We are planning to start on time and will need the isles entirely clear by 11am.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The Dress Code is Semi-Formal, with some wiggle-room. Suits, button-up shirts, slacks, dresses, nice blouses, long skirts, etc. are all acceptable. Please avoid jeans and tee shirts. This is a church wedding so please dress modestly. It is December and may get chilly (50-60 degrees Fahrenheit), so also consider bringing a shawl or nice jacket.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony will have parking in front of the church and there are two lots available for parking at the hotel for the reception.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Kids are definitely welcome. Please indicate on your RSVP whether you will be bringing kids and how many kids meals you will need for the reception.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We have a section at the bottom of the RSVP card for dietary restrictions and special requests but please also get in contact with us for any specific accommodations you may need. The catering chef is very good at working with allergies, but all special food accommodations will be plated for those specific individuals so we will need to follow up to make sure we have all of the necessary information.

Question

What activities will you have available at the reception?

Answer

We have the reception broken into two distinct timeslots: the first is wedding games and dinner (12-3pm) and the second is dancing with music from our live band (3-6pm). A photo booth with free instant prints will be available in the hotel atrium for the entirety of the reception (12-6pm). A reception itinerary will be available at the church with the wedding ceremony program.
