A casual but must-try place for fish tacos in Downtown Encinitas. Worth any wait in line!
Our go-to, next door to our apartment. The food and cocktails are SO good, we never get sick of Nick's.
Everyone's favorite bar in Del Mar with ocean views (& bites!)
Our favorite spot for coffee. Stroll one block up the neighborhood to get to the beach.
La Jolla is about 20 minutes south of Encinitas, depending on traffic. Start your adventure in the morning at Wayfarer Bread & Pastry for a life-changing croissant or pastry (the line goes quick!). Walk towards the ocean and enjoy your treats overlooking the sea. Make your way north towards La Jolla Village for shopping, lunch or happy hour (we love The Cottage or Duke's). Finish with a walk to the coves to see the sea lions!
One of Santiago's go-tos.
For lovers of interiors and luxury, this hotel is worth the quick drive to visit. Grab a coffee, walk the stunning grounds, and stay for brunch or drinks.
A coastal state park with expansive views of the beach and miles of trails along the oceanside.
One of the best in the world, the zoo is a crowd-pleaser for all!
A historic and cultural park next to the San Diego Zoo, full of stunning gardens, museums, and places to eat.
For lovers of craft beer, Stone Brewing's HQ is about 30 minutes from Encinitas. The property is amazing – great beers, giant patio, and delicious food.
