Shania and Santavius (Tae) first crossed paths during Shania’s freshman year at Jacksonville State University. It was a brief connection on campus, one that didn’t seem destined to lead to much at the time. They shared a moment but parted ways without exchanging numbers or staying in touch. Life, as it often does, took them in different directions for a while. However, in the Spring of 2016, both Shania and Santavius embarked on significant journeys by joining their respective organizations. It was during this time that their lives began to overlap more frequently. Whether it was through campus events, mutual friends, or chance encounters, they started to notice each other more. By August of that same year, fate had nudged them closer together, leading them to finally exchange numbers—not in the most conventional way, but through Snapchat. At the time, neither Shania nor Santavius were actively searching for a relationship. They were content with where they were in their personal lives, but it became clear that destiny had something different in store for them. Over time, their bond grew stronger, and what started as casual conversations turned into something much more meaningful. On December 12, 2016, they took a leap of faith and began dating.
