Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please be ready to board the Gondola by 12:15 pm to make it up to ceremony on time. There are a limited number of shuttles from the top of the Gondola to the ceremony site. Keep in mind that you may have to walk a short distance from your parking space to the Gondola.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: tailored suits and gowns are welcome, and so are dress shirts and cocktail dresses. Keep in mind if you are planning on wearing heels, there may be some gravel or soft ground around the ceremony site. There is no color theme for attire.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We are very excited to have an outdoor ceremony! The weather should be mostly clear with highs in the high 60s or low 70s. However, as it is Colorado, we could be surprised with some rain or wind. It may be a good idea to bring an extra layer just in case. Umbrellas will be provided at the ceremony.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes! Food will be served at the reception after the ceremony at approximately 4:00pm. That being said, we would recommend having a late breakfast or early lunch before heading up to the 1:00pm ceremony, as there will be no food at the ceremony site. There are several food options at the Winter Park base near the Gondola. There will be a buffet with chicken, beef, vegetarian, and gluten free options at the Airbnb. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate you!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We kindly request that you enjoy the present moment with us and put all cell phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We have a spectacular photographer who will capture all the special details and we will of course share those photos with you afterwards.

Question

What are some good lodging options in the area?

Answer

Many guests are staying at Airbnbs in Winter Park, Fraser, or Tabernash. There are also plenty of local hotels including lodging at the Winter Park base. Unfortunately, we do not have a hotel block set up.

Question

So, how high up will we be?

Answer

Especially if you are traveling from out of town, drink plenty of water and prepare for a variety of weather. The Winter Park base is situated at an elevation of 9,000 feet; drinking lots of water and spending time at an intermediate altitude (the Mile High City) are a couple of the best ways to prevent altitude sickness.
