Sanora saw Marsha on the hidden camera, national television show - What Would You Do?, in a segment titled: Interracial Couple Faces Criticism, hosted by Mr. John Quinones and something very special touched Sanora’s heart and spirit about Marsha. A few weeks later, Sanora saw Marsha again on social media while she was doing an interview with a Barber giving free haircuts to homeless men in Philadelphia. Again, those very special feelings for Marsha welled up in Sanora and she reached out to Marsha sharing her admiration for the work she was doing in the community. Marsha was unable to respond to Sanora’s first message due to a heavy speaking schedule; however, undaunted, Sanora reached out to Marsha again and apologized if she was overstepping email etiquette but she simply wanted to share how wonderful her work was and that if she ever needed any additional support, to please let her know. This time Marsha responded to Sanora and apologized for the delay in her response, thanked her for her kind words, and assured her that she would reach out to her, if extra hands were needed for a future project. Sanora thanked Marsha and driven by those feelings she could not shake, began a social media dialogue with her, which eventually led to a dinner meeting where they both realized that something extraordinary was happening between them.
