To avoid any confusion, we will try to list all names on the invitation. While we would love to celebrate with everyone, our wedding venue has a limited seating capacity. If you have any questions as to whether or not you are invited, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Mehndi, also known as henna, is a temporary skin design created from a paste made with henna leaves. It’s a traditional part of many south Asian weddings. At the Mehndi party, the henna is intricately applied to the bride's hands and feet, and guests are encouraged to get simple designs to their liking. There will also be food, music, and dancing. Taking place the day before the wedding ceremony, the Pithi and Mehndi are similar to a rehearsal dinner. It allows family and friends of the bride and groom to gather for traditional rituals like throwing rice, wishing the bridal party luck, applying rose water and turmeric to the bride’s skin, dancing, and eating. We decided to combine these two events on one fun-filled night! Please join us on May 27, 2023 to celebrate this cultural event.
If you are interested in having Mehndi applied, wear an outfit with short sleeves so your hands and arms are exposed for easy Mehndi application. Traditional lehengas, salwar kameez, and kurtas are encouraged or any formal outfit.
