We met between classes at William Paterson University in 2016 when he walked up to me and started a conversation. At the time, it felt like such a simple moment, but it quickly became the beginning of everything. I invited him to hang out in the student center, and from then on, we were inseparable - studying together, talking for hours, and grabbing snacks from QuickChek whenever we could. Over the years, our friendship grew into a life filled with shared adventures. We discovered a love for the outdoors together - hiking, biking, camping, and kayaking across the East Coast, including mountain biking trips to the Kingdom Trails in Vermont. We also bonded over our shared love of gaming, anime, conventions like New York Comic-Con, and Renaissance fairs. Whether we were exploring mountain trails or fictional worlds, we were always side by side. We grew up together, moved in together, and adopted our Golden Retriever, Ducky, who quickly became part of every adventure. During our very first holiday photoshoot as a little family, he surprised me by proposing, with Ducky right there beside us. Years later, we returned to campus and stood in the exact place where we first met. It was a full-circle moment that reminded us how one simple conversation changed both of our lives forever. In so many ways, it feels like we pressed start all those years ago - Player 1 and Player 2. P1 + P2 = ❤️
