What are some things to do in Chennai?

Kapaleeshwarar Temple: temple built in the 7th Century, dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a great example of South Indian architecture. It is pretty close to Primrose 131. Santhome Church: Officially known as St. Thomas Cathedral Basilica is the oldest church in Chennai and has the tomb of St. Thomas one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ. Dakshina Chitra: living museum near MGM Beach Resorts. Fort Museum: museum located in Fort St. George, which is the first British fortress in India. Many items from the British Rule are exhibited here. Heritage Walk by Madras Inherited: explore the city's most iconic places but also unravel its hidden heritage. Check out @madrasinherited on Instagram. Government Museum, Chennai: museum of human history and culture. Marina Beach: expansive beach which runs from Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south. Pondicherry: about a 3 hour drive from Chennai, (151 km or 93 mi) Pondicherry was previously a French colonial settlement. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, and there are multiple beaches, cathedrals and temples to visit as well.

They also have an online presence and ship internationally. Ramraj: Men, If you are looking for a dhoti and a shirt to go with it. This is your place to go. They have a wide selection, and even a ready to wear dhoti which you can wear with velcro. You can buy this online or they also have multiple locations through out Chennai and other major indian cities. RMKV: If you are looking for traditional kanchipuram sarees you can find them here at RMKV. RMKV's flagship store is located in T.Nagar Chennai (the shopping district of Chennai). FabIndia: FabIndia has a great collection of clothes for men and women. You can find them online, they also have multiple stores in Chennai. Looking for one stop place to shop? Check out Express Avenue Mall and Phoenix Marketcity. These are the largest malls in Chennai. They have many of the above stores and more.
