Flight
Flights should be booked to Belize City and then the ferry or short local flight can be booked separately to get you to San Pedro. Flying directly to San Pedro is going to be very limited and very expensive. Please reach out to us directly if you have any questions. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO FLY IN TO BELIZE CITY BEFORE 1PM TO LEAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO COMFORTABLY MAKE THE LAST FERRY TO SAN PEDRO. FOR THE SEPARATE FLIGHT OPTION THROUGH BZE INTERNATIONAL, PLAN ON ARRIVING AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE TIME (LAST FLIGHT IS 5:40PM).
Travel Note
There are a couple of options to get to San Pedro. We took the ferry there (1.5 hours) and the plane back (15 minutes). The ferry terminal is about 30-45 minutes from the international airport. You can get a taxi there for $25-30 USD or $50-60 BZD per taxi (no tipping expected). There's no Uber or Lyft but the taxis are easy and reliable. You can also arrange a ride ahead of time through Viator or another similar service if that's preferred. The ferry from Belize City to Caye Caulker & San Pedro leaves at 8AM, 9AM, 10:30AM, 12PM, 1:30PM, 3PM, 4:30PM, and 5:30PM. Tickets ($31 USD one way; accept cash or card) can be purchased at the terminal when you get there or ahead of time (probably a good idea if you're looking at the latest option). There are no bathrooms on the boat but there's one at the ferry terminal. The ferry will first stop at Caye Caulker so do not get off the ferry until it reaches the 2nd and final stop at San Pedro. The flights ($86-125 USD one way) leave every hour from 7:30AM to 5:30PM through Maya Island Air from the international airport or the municipal airport (30-45 minutes away from the international airport). That can be booked on their website or the flights will show up on Google Flights as well. The planes are small so the check-in/boarding process is quick and easy. It's a very short flight with nice views along the way.
House Or Rental
Some of the resorts can be far from the city center. Avoid booking anything that is not walkable (should be within a 20 minute walk to the San Pedro Holiday Hotel for the reception). There are a lot of nice, smaller hotels in that area (see the link for nearby options). Most people get around by walking or golf carts (no rental car needed or advised). Staying close will make it easier and allow you to see more of the main area
Travel Note
THE LAST FERRIES LEAVE AT 4:30 AND 5:30 PM DAILY
