We met at a CRU Inner City ministries banquet in April of 2018. "He was strikingly handsome," Sangeetha remembers. "She was so gorgeous." was Chris' first impression. He approached her in his ever charismatic nature and they both laughed the entire evening away. They began dating right away, attending concerts in the park at Lake Harriet, going biking around the lakes, and connecting over their faith, family and fitness. Chris surprised Sangeetha by planning to attend attended the CRU banquet again in 2019 to celebrate their anniversary, and want to make it an ongoing annual tradition!

Chris had prepared Sangeetha to go camping with his guy friends over Memorial Day weekend. Little did she know, while she was mentally preparing to be a good sport and enjoy the trip, Chris had a big surprise! As they packed up the car to head onto the road Saturday morning, he surprised her by taking her to the airport! They boarded a flight to Denver, Colorado - which is when Sangeetha finally knew where we were going. Chris took her to Breckenridge and Aspen, two very special places for him. He surprised her at a beautiful place called Maroon Bells, where he got down on one knee, as asked her if she would marry him. Sangeetha, in shock, spent about a minute laughing in delight before ecstatically saying "YES!" and we were engaged. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
