Ian and I met on August 13th, 2015 at Mehlville High School. It was the first day of our sophomore year in Honors English II. When we first met, we were not fans of each other... at all! Ian would often bring in a half-gallon of Oberwise Chocolate Milk along with a chick-n-mini platter to eat in our first class of the day. I thought he was so annoying. Until our teacher (shoutout to Mr. Gulath!) paired us up for an assignment. When we were doing the assignment he thought it would be funny to steal my phone with my Rob Gronkowski case on it. Ever since that day, we have been best friends. At the end of our Junior year, we FINALLY admitted we liked each other. Our first date was on May 26th, 2017, we went to Dave & Buster's with my whole family for my brother-in-law's birthday. We started dating the next day when he asked me to be his girlfriend in front of my house. (fun fact: my mom, dad, sister, and best friend, all said I would marry him before we even admitted we liked each other) On April 25, 2021, Ian finally got down on one knee in the Piazza Imo on the Hill. Ian spent 8 months custom-designing the engagement ring from Adam Foster Jewelry. When Ian got down on one knee, the church bells started going off (completely unplanned!) and both of our families were there. Ian came up with the idea to make it look like we were there to take my graduation pictures (which we did, but that was still just a cover so I had no idea it was happening). I would not have wanted it any other way! When Ian and I are not working or planning a wedding we can be found binge watching a show, working on our house, or shopping at target!
