Fun facts about Sandy Bowlin: Sandy is a certified surgical technologist. She works for UChealth in Broomfield and St. Joseph Hospital in downtown Denver. She believes the best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in service to others. Sandy also has a passion for animals. She has two cats, Checkers and Duchess. She also has a Border Collie mix, Dixie, and has recently welcomed Daniel’s dogs Oby and Coil into her life with open arms. She also enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, jogging, writing, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and spending her spare time with Daniel.

Born & raised in SoCal, Daniel only moved out to Colorado in 2011. After seeing the mountains, he has sworn he's unlikely to leave. Things to know about Daniel are his significant imagination, love of animals- key being dogs (he has 2 Samoyeds named Tesla Coil & Obsidian), & his passion for exploration, science fiction, and fantasy. He has been a boy scout, dungeon master, marine technician, & businessman. He received a Bachelors degree in Biology in 1998 from the University of California, San Diego (emphasis on marine ecology & animal communication) & an MBA from the Rady School of Management, UCSD in 2008. A man of faith, Daniel believes God's love can be felt in all things - finding & falling in love with Sandy is just the latest & most significant example he has witnessed.

Sharon is Sandy's older sister. She is from Huntsville AL where she lives with her husband John Freudenthal and their growing family. She is a hard working mom of 7 children. They include (in order of age) Samuel, James, Ruth, Hannah, Nathan, Mariam, and Aaron. You will probably see Aaron, her youngest newborn son with her during the festivities. She enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, playing the piano and spends most of her time raising her children.
Erik Hendrix

Erik and Daniel met in High school in Fallbrook, California. Noticing Erik's work on a self invented boardgame in a creative writing course, the two soon discovered similar passions in science fiction, fantasy, game mechanics, and Dungeons and Dragons. While Daniel had a few close friends growing up, Erik time and again proved a wise collaborator on issues of the heart and soul. They would be room mates after high school all the way up to Erik's wedding.
Sam Doherty

Samantha Doherty is Daniel's niece, and good friend to the couple. She lives in Erie Colorado with her parents, sister Rebekah and two brothers Luc and Tyler. She enjoys horse back riding, gaming, dungeons and dragons, and spoiling "Piper" her black cat. She aspires to be a veterinarian major at CU and turn her love of animals into a career.
Andre Merritt
Groomsman
Andre and Daniel met during his time at University of California, San Diego in 1995. They both worked at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography: meteorological work, diving, data collection. They became fast friends in their shared love of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and science. They would go on to be room mates with Erik for a few years. Despite being in different parts of the country Andre and Daniel have remained true friends.

Sheila Doherty is wife of 17 years to Joel Doherty (grooms man). They live in Erie, CO with their four children Rebekah, Lucas, Tyler, and Samantha. Sheila is a skilled computer programmer by trade, gamer, and yoga enthusiast.

There are responsibilities that one takes being a big brother, and Joel proved over the decades that he had this "big brother" thing locked down cold. From playing games together in their pre-teens to watching out for Daniel in high school, Joel was always keeping an eye on his little brother. It was one of Daniel's happier days when God would bring them back together, Joel and his family moving to Colorado where Daniel was. Brothers, friends, family.
