This beautiful story is build on a long-term friendship, unselfish love, forgiveness, patience, prayers and the favour from the Lord. In James 1:17, the word says "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights" and this love is reflection of His perfect promises It was around April 2013 when Juan Sebastian and I met on a WhatsApp chat that was created for all the young adults in the church. Technically we had met when we were little, as he is Johana and Natalia del Castillo's cousin and I have known them since we were little girls and we have been best friends since. We began talking because he was trying to find an excuse to talk to me and he started to follow me on instagram when he saw that Montero, a Colombian soccer player, played for the sounders. He then, since he already had my number, contacted me private and asked me to Skype with him. We began Skyping and we both felt a connection, like if we had known each other for years. We continued chatting as friends and had Skype sessions and could be completely genuine with each other and got to know each other pretty well, as we were not trying to be anyone but ourselves. Years and years passed and we continued a friendship but he saw it impossible as we lived in different countries, US and Colombia. I finally went to Colombia in October 2015 and we hung out and felt something really special, but knew it was not the right time so left it as friends but we prayed and gave each other to God. And in 2017, he came to the US for my birthday and told me his intentions and we continued to pray, it was not till June 16, 2017 that we felt peace and began a serious relationship fully focusing on the Lord and his plan for our lives. Finally, in March 2018, for my birthday, he came as a surprise and proposed and are so excited that after all this time God has been preparing our hearts for this moment that is so special and we want to share it with each of you.
