We met online on "Plenty of Fish" and didn’t think much of it. After spending a month getting to know each other, we finally decided to meet for a date in Berkeley at Venus Pizza. It was an instant connection and we immediately felt so comfortable with each other. The next week we went on a movie date and Patrick asked me to be his girlfriend. From that moment on we knew we were meant to be together!

We came into each other lives at the perfect time. There are so many things that we have in common that it was easy for us to spend time together. We bonded over our love of The Office and I am proud to say that on our first anniversary Patrick received his first Dundee for "Hottest in the Office!" In January 2019 we adopted our furbaby Gordo and he has brought so much joy to our lives. Getting out with him and hitting the trails close to our house and spending evenings in our backyard during the summer is our new form of relaxation. Of course, if there is a good concert anywhere close to us, we have no problem leaving him at home and heading out! Exploring new places through travel and trying new foods are some of our favorite things to do and we never turn down a chance to indulge our sweet tooth and splurge on ice cream and dessert.

On a sunny Friday afternoon after work, we went out for our regular walk around our house in Concord with Gordo. As we got to our favorite part of the trail I noticed a small fox on the other side of the hill and stopped to watch. It was the perfect distraction for Patrick and he took the opportunity to get down on one knee. When I looked over, he asked if I wanted to marry him and without any hesitation I answered, "YES!"

October 28, 2019 started out like any other day but would end up forever as our Best Day Ever! The fires that raged last year caused Patrick's jobs to be canceled that day. With a spontaneous free day together, we decided that it was the perfect opportunity to go down to Martinez City Hall to get married. We couldn't wait any longer to be husband and wife. After surprising our immediate family with our decision and inviting them to join us at City Hall, we made an emergency run to Target (the place that ALWAYS has exactly what you need) and found the perfect white dress. The ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and happy tears. It was as romantic as our entire relationship has been from the beginning and the perfect way to start our married life together. We felt so blessed to have found each other and thankful that God saw fit to bring us together. Now we are even more excited to gather with our family and friends in September 2020 to celebrate the love we have for each other and the love we have for everyone in our lives who have traveled with us on this journey!
