We're getting married!

We first met at a local Portland bar/restaurant on Sandra's birthday while out with some friends. We instantly connected and talked for hours. In fact we were so into each other, that we ended up getting dragged out by friends 2 hours after the bar had officially "closed". If it wasn't for them, we could have stayed there all night with endless conversation. From then on, we became inseparable.

During a family vacation in Maui, Hawaii. The second night we were there the family went to a Luau for dinner and entertainment. During dinner, Marquis asked to take a picture down by the water and main stage. The whole family ended up making their way down to the desired picture location. After we snapped a few pictures, we were just about to walk back to our table when all of the sudden a spotlight hit were we were standing and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" started playing over a loud speaker. The entire luau audience, staff and family started cheering, as Marquis got down on one knee and proposed. It was truly an unforgettable, magical moment! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
