Gordon and Sandra’s love story is a classic tale of almost missing each other. Back in their college days, they were both part of the FOCUS community at UTD and UNT, respectively. But fate had other plans! Sandra, not a student at the time, was working as a pastoral apprentice with FOCUS at UTD. So, while they were in the same orbit, they didn’t really interact. Fast forward years later, Gordon has moved to Ohio and then to Oklahoma to work in ministry. Sandra remains on staff with FOCUS now serving the Richland College campus. In the Fall of 2022 Gordon finds himself back in Texas, ready to reconnect with a community he ends up at Northeast Garland Church where many of his UTD friends attend but most importantly, where, surprise surprise, Sandra is also a member. In a twist of fate, a mutual friend, Stephanie, decided to play matchmaker. Their first date was at a coffee shop/record store. They decide to go on a few more dates the following weeks. Around 7 in two and a half weeks!! Crazy!! Like they say, the rest is history. Now, a year and a half later, they're thrilled to embark on their journey of marriage and can't wait to celebrate with their loved ones who have shaped them into the people they are today. *** La historia de amor de Gordon y Sandra es la clásica historia en la que casi se pierden el uno al otro.
