Jonathan and Victoria’s story began with faith, patience, and a lot of prayer. In April 2023, they connected through a Seventh-day Adventist singles website, both seeking something meaningful and grounded in shared values. From the very beginning, their conversations felt intentional and sincere—laying a foundation that quickly grew into something deeper. Their first date took place in May, over Mother's Day weekend in beautiful Santa Barbara, whose historic charm and timeless coastal beauty made it a fitting setting for the start of a relationship that would span cities and countless miles. From the beginning, they discovered a shared love for the ocean—drawn to its calm, grandeur, and the sense of peace it brings. With Jonathan planted in San Francisco and Victoria in Loma Linda, their love was strengthened through long-distance dedication. Frequent flights became a regular rhythm of their relationship—so much so that airline staff on Breeze and Frontier began to feel like familiar faces along the journey. Early on, Jonathan showed just how serious he was: the very first weekend he met Victoria, he also met part of her extended family, including her beloved Nana, two aunts, and two uncles. From that moment, it was clear their relationship was not only about the two of them, but about the families and values that shaped them. Jonathan, a scientist, brings curiosity and thoughtfulness to everything he does, while Victoria, a nurse, carries a heart for care and compassion. Together, they balance intellect and empathy beautifully. They share a love for traditional music, meaningful church experiences, and a lifestyle rooted in faith. In their free time, Jonathan enjoys soccer, while Victoria thrives outdoors—running, hiking, and snow skiing whenever she gets the chance. On Christmas Day 2025, surrounded by the warmth of family and the joy of opening presents, Jonathan asked Victoria to marry him (she said yes!). It was a moment filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a lifetime together. Now, they look ahead with excitement as they plan their wedding this July 2026 in Washington, near Victoria’s hometown—a place that represents both her roots and the beginning of their new life together. Victoria has spent the past year in San Francisco travel nursing, and afterwards dedicated a couple of months to travel nursing in the Seattle area near her parents—time she treasures for being close to family and planning the wedding alongside her mom. After the wedding, they will begin their life together in San Francisco, where they look forward to creating a home together. Even now, across the seasons and miles (even more in the past year), they have already begun to develop a shared rhythm of life—intentionally planting roots in the city and becoming actively involved in the San Francisco Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Surrounded by a supportive faith community, they are excited to grow not only as a couple, but in service, fellowship, and shared purpose. We can't wait to see you all soon!
