Steve’s story: I met Mary at Lowes and I remember going up to returns to flirt with her. I had no idea she had a crush on me. What she didn’t know is I had a crush on her as well. Years passed seeing each other at a few birthday parties and one quick chance meeting in a Walmart (ask her what she was wearing). All the while not knowing fate had plans for us both. All these years apart we ether worked a few blocks of each other or lived within a mile of each other. Both of going through the trials of life and working on the best people we could be. Then a chance funny meme sent would cause us to reconnect. Rekindling our friendship and bringing us together. Mary’s story: We met at Lowes where we both worked. The day I met him I remember thinking how handsome he was and that he was a genuinely nice guy that made me laugh. I remember looking forward to the days that I would get to see him and for me it was never often enough. He would stop by whatever area I was working in and hang out to talk with me. It wasn’t long before I had a huge crush on him. I never realized that he liked me back, so our spark stayed dormant. Eventually we grew into the people that we needed to be and like puzzle pieces we fit together. I can’t be more grateful for the man he is, and I know that I am a better version of myself then I was. Our time is now, and fate seemed to realize that and bring us together.

Steve proposed on the beach kneeling on one knee in the pouring rain. When he knelt down, I knew immediately that he was going to ask me to marry him and I couldn't help happy crying. I said yes as fast as I could. It was the most romantic day of my life and whenever it rains, I'm reminded of that day and all those happy memories.
