We met online; I messaged her asking if she went to SDSU because it was in her profile. We started talking about adult animation shows like Rick and Morty and couldn't leave each other alone after that! When I picked her up for our first date I remember she had a box from Trader Joe's of Smashin' S'mores because it was one of my favorite desserts. From that point on, I knew that Jade was different than anyone I had ever met. We went to Mike Hess Brewing Company and laughed over anime, jenga, and attending San Diego State. I do recall letting Jade win in Jenga and I told her that I would never let her win another game of Jenga again. Just to give you an update, 4 years later and she still hasn't beat me! We were on vacation in Toronto visiting my best friend, Niki. It was around the midpoint of our trip, and our last activity for the day was walking around the CN Tower, which I had been looking forward to! Mike had bought the three of us tickets that gave us access to the main viewing deck as well as the Sky Tower, which was a smaller viewing deck higher up on the tower. When it was our turn to go up, I felt super lucky because there weren't that many people around and I had time to take a nice video of the view. I was taking my video when I heard Mike call my name and felt a hand on my side. I turned around and he was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen, asking me to marry him!
