David and Allie met in the Summer of 2013. Though Allie had been keeping an eye on David for years, she kept her distance, as his magnetic energy may have been too much at that time. Luckily, David and Allie both took summer jobs that year at Gateway school. After spotting her from across the playground, David knew that he had to do whatever possible to get this teacher's number. Unfortunately, summer romances always come to an end... or that's what they thought. The two kept in touch all year when David was back in San Diego, both making frequent trips to see each other and constantly debating about who could make the best tofu. This trend didn't stop, Allie and David dated for four years with over 300 miles between them. Luckily, they always found ways to go camping, wrestle in the ocean, and climb mountains both real and metaphorical. Soon enough, these crazy kids and their tortoise FDR moved in together in Los Angeles. And since David promised they could start "talking" about getting a dog after one month.... they got Miller exactly 30 days later. Still in LA, Allie and David are constantly seeking adventure and growing with each other every day. Whether it's a spontaneous trip to Joshua Tree, a beach day in Venice, or hanging out with their hilarious group of friends, they feel like they have truly found a new home. Although they have settled slightly south, they still call Santa Cruz their "real home", and they could not be any more excited to bring together their family and friends in this beautiful place. They invite you to celebrate their union by exploring the places they love so dearly. So before the big day, go for a hike in the redwoods, jump in the ocean, and walk on West Cliff. Consider it a tour of the places that sparked their never-ending friendship and bond.
