We met at the gym. Tyler worked there as an Operations Assistant, which was a fancy term for someone who had to clean all the machines and equipment. Kacie would come in for her workouts and smile at him (but never say anything). Overtime, Tyler started cleaning the machines closer and closer to where Kacie was working out. We don't remember who said something first, but thank you to who ever did because we have been inseparable ever since.
On rare warm day in January, Tyler and I decided to take our pup, Lambeau, on a hike. We came to the part of our hike where we usually turn around, but Tyler insisted that we keep going. We kept hiking, pulling off to the side multiple times to take in the beautiful views of the buttes, river, and clear blue skies. At one of the spots, Tyler tossed Lambeau's leash to the side, reached into his pocket, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Through lots of tears, I of course said "Yes" and with Lambeau's kiss of approval, we became best friends forever.
