If ever there is the definition of ‘sliding into the DMs’, this is it. The date is April, 2020. Kedar noticed Sanchita’s IG handle on Dil Mil and knew he had to get to know her. He responded to her IG story, never thinking she’d notice, and luckily, she responded. They quickly struck up texts, audio messages, long audio messages, and late night 4-hour FaceTime calls, from Chicago to San Jose, not giving a care to distance and different area codes. Some of the slick lines they used on each other include: Kedar to Sanchita, “We don’t get that smile in the Bay Area.” Sanchita to Kedar, a playful giddiness in her audio messages. At a time when uncertainty was rampant, one thing was certain, they had to meet. Kedar masked up and boarded a flight to ChiTown. But the feelings of doubt crept in: What if Kedar is not above 6 ft as he claims? What if Sanchita is not a digital analytics maestro as she claims? What if it’s a catfish? … All doubt dissipated once we met and locked eyes, it was worth the wait, every good morning text, and the who-hangs-up-first evening FaceTime chats. Our love and passion for each other has always grown from that first nervous meeting. We are delighted to share this special occasion with you all. As much as this is a celebration of us, it is also a celebration for you, our friendship, family, and a true zest for life. Thank you for being part of our happily ever after. Get ready for a party you won’t forget!
Sanchita always dreamed of a fall wedding, so it had to be October Sanchita and Kedar said yes to their engagement ring the October 14, 2023, so they wanted the wedding close to that auspicious day Sanchita's parents were married on August 19th, so 19 was a special number. Fall time is usually auspicious in India with Diwali and Karva Chauth! :)
