Travel Note
We warmly recommend arriving 2–3 days early to adjust to the time change and to join us for our welcome party on Thursday, June 25th, 2026 at 6:00PM—we can’t wait to celebrate with you! If you're arriving close to the wedding date, we highly encourage you to take time to unwind and ease into the local rhythm. In Spain, the pace is a bit slower, and evenings begin later—sunset isn't until nearly 10 PM—so events naturally start later than what you may be used to back home. Embracing this shift will help you feel refreshed and fully present for the celebration.
Travel Note
For ease and peace of mind, we kindly advise that you book all hotel and flight reservations DIRECTLY through the HOTEL or AIRLINE'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE. Third-party platforms like Expedia, Booking.com, or Tripadvisor can be difficult to manage, especially during international travel, and often limit the ability of hotels or airlines to assist you directly if any changes or issues arise. Booking directly ensures smoother support and a more seamless experience throughout your journey. You will thank us later if any inconveniences happen!
Hotel
While we haven’t reserved specific room blocks due to the unpredictability of international travel, we warmly recommend staying at Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana. Nestled in the city’s calm financial district—just outside the main tourist areas—it offers a more local and relaxed experience. The hotel is right next to one of Madrid’s largest malls, surrounded by great restaurants and vibrant spots where locals love to spend time. It’s a lovely balance of comfort, convenience, and authentic Madrid charm and short drive from our wedding venue.
Hotel
As a second option, this hotel offers the same comforts and conveniences, located just a short walk from the Hilton in the heart of the financial district. With its elegant design and prime location, it provides an equally refined and accessible experience for your stay.
Flight
Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas is the primary international airport serving Madrid, offering convenient access to the city. It’s located just a short drive from our recommended hotels and wedding venue, making your arrival smooth and stress-free.
Train
The Metro de Madrid is a common, easy, and safe way to get around the city, making it a favorite among both locals and visitors. Known for its cleanliness and efficiency, the metro connects nearly every corner of Madrid with speed and reliability. If you plan to use public transportation regularly, we recommend getting a Multi Card (Tarjeta Multi), which gives you access to all forms of transit, including metro, buses, and light rail. With the Metro, exploring Madrid becomes not only convenient, but truly enjoyable.
Train
AVE is Spain’s high-speed train system, offering a clean, reliable, and budget-friendly way to travel between cities. Especially easy to navigate from Madrid, it’s a favorite among both locals and visitors for its comfort and efficiency. Whether you’re planning a seaside escape or a cultural adventure, AVE can take you directly to vibrant destinations like Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, and Málaga. It’s a seamless way to explore the beauty and diversity of Spain—stress-free and in style.
Travel Note
These are our favorite destinations to explore in Spain, each offering its own unique charm. While Sevilla captivates with its rich history and vibrant culture, it’s important to note that it’s not near the water—unlike the stunning coastal cities of Barcelona and Alicante, or the enchanting islands such as the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria) and the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Mallorca, Formentera).
Travel Note
These wonderful destinations—Portugal, Italy, Greece, France, and Croatia—are perfect for summer travel, offering beautiful experiences without breaking the bank. With Europe’s warmth in full bloom, their sun-drenched landscapes, sparkling coastlines, and inviting waters provide an irresistible escape.
