Nick and Kristine's story began in high school (2006), where they were introduced to each other through mutual friends. Although they never dated, while in school, they always kept in touch. Fast forward a few years later, Nick and Kristine's friendship evolved into a dating relationship, where Nick confessed his love to Kristine; even telling her that she was the one that he was going to marry her one day.

What was thought to be a conjoined birthday celebration in the beautiful Riviera Maya, became the very trip that would change their lives forever. It was Saturday night (08/21/2021), unbeknownst to Kristine, Nick secretly arranged a romantic dinner on the beach to celebrate Kristine's Birthday (08/19/2021). The moon was full, shining bright down upon them, and they enjoyed a delicious meal with wine...lots of wine, and a beautiful view. As dinner came to an end, Nick asked Pedro, their private butler for the evening, to take a photograph of them that would capture their final night in paradise. As they posed in front of an illuminated LOVE sign and stood within a heart, shaped with red rose pedals, Nick suddenly kneeled down on one knee. He presented a beautiful diamond ring that shimmered in the moon light and asked Kristine to be his Wife. Kristine, overwhelmed with joy was momentarily left speechless. As tears streamed from her eyes, she screamed "YES!" with a gigantic smile on her face. Kristine leaped into Nick's arms as Pedro snapped away and captured their beautiful moment.
