We both decided to swipe right in June 2025 (who would have thought Tinder was the cause for all of this). Our first date was on July 12th, 2025. He met at a park-and-ride in Thompsam, I hopped into his F-150, and he drove us to Bailey's Island. We spent some time sitting on the rocks, enjoying the view, and trying to fill the awkward silence. We then went fishing for a few hours and found ourselves in Waterville enjoying food and drinks. What was supposed to be a normal six-hour date turned into almost thirty hours and now a lifetime. Within two weeks, we went on two more dates and became official. We spent the summer riding the side-by-side trails, enjoying lots of dinner dates, swimming, and doing lots of driving. We spent the fall getting to know each other's families and friends and doing weekend trips to each other's places. Our relationship moved swiftly and naturally. One night apart felt like a week. It wasn't long before I was job searching, and we were planning the next steps of our journey together. That led us to the day Ryan decided to take me back to Bailey's Island, where we experienced a full-circle moment, and he asked me to marry him.
