We met almost 17 years ago at a Sports Bar in San Francisco. There was football on every giant screen and the house was packed. Joel was standing in line and I cut right in front of him and the cheeky conversation began. We would run into each other through mutual friends throughout the years but it wasn't until 4 years ago when Joel found me on Instagram and finally took me out on our first date. The rest is history!

We were camping near the Oregon border at the annual Jed Smith River trip. We floated down the pristine river, jumped off giant rocks into the water, and were having the most amazing and fun time. After we broke down our camp site and got everything packed up, Joel asked me if I wanted to walk down to the river bank one last time to "skip stones". As I very competitively searched for the best skipping stones, Joel got down and told me he had found me the perfect stone. My immediate reaction was "Wait that looks real! Did you seriously just find that? We have to find the owner!" After it all registered and I realized what was happening, I was speechless (for the first time ever). It was such a special moment, just the two of us, experiencing such an exciting milestone and it's a moment that neither of us will ever forget.
