Glad you asked! Semyon (rhymes with Throne) is the new surname both Sanaa and Dima will be taking on in marriage.
Semyon (the Russian version of Simon) was the first name of Dima's late grandfather who had a big part in raising him and his brother and instilling them with lifelong values they continue to treasure. Dima has chosen to change his name to signify his commitment to his new family with Sanaa while also maintaining a connection with his existing family by honoring his grandfather.
If you've provided us with an address, yes! If not we hope you read your email.
Just let us know before the RSVP date who you would like to bring and chances are we'll be able to accommodate!
Yes! Kohl Mansion is a functioning school and the whole parking lot is available to our guests.
Anything in the dressy-casual to cocktail attire family will be splendid! We expect it to be hot and the ceremony will be outside on the grassy lawn, so dress cool. You're welcome to wear Indian clothing if that's your thing, but there won't be Indian wedding traditions.
Passed appetizers will be available after the ceremony during cocktail hour around 5:30pm and there will be a family-style dinner with halal, kosher, and vegetarian options at 7pm. Let us know if you have any additional dietary restrictions we should be aware of!
