Michael and Lindsey's love story began at the "oh so classy" Thunderstruck Bar in Grand Junction, CO. Some might call it fate, but Michael happened to be standing right behind Lindsey when she turned around asking about the red velvet rope separating the bar. "Is this the VIP section" Lindsey sarcastically questioned. Michael being the smart man he is saw his opportunity and ran with it "yes it is, come on over I know the bouncer" (Michael in fact did not know the bouncer). The two awkwardly danced for a few minutes until they decided they were much better at drinking than dancing, so they headed to the bar! The conversation was fluid, the laughter was endless, and the rest is history!

Keystone, CO holds a special place in Michael and Lindsey's hearts because it was their first ski trip together. Nearly two years later, Michael surprised Lindsey with a ski trip to Keystone with Lindsey's sister Kaitlyn and her boyfriend Logan, while back home for the holidays. Michael had finally found the perfect run to propose to Lindsey on but since it was in the trees, Lindsey refused. Michael searched diligently throughout the day for a better run, but was unsuccessful. It was nearing the end of the day so the urgency kicked in, just in time for Lindsey and Kaitlyn to lose Michael and Logan. Finally, they had found each other. Luckily this time around Lindsey was up for the tree run Michael had found earlier. As they stood there in the snow sipping on their PBR's, Michael got down on one knee and asked Lindsey to spend the rest of her life with him! Lindsey couldn't of said YES fast enough!
