Travel Note

Travelling from Melbourne

Car Hire available at Melbourne Airport Tolls: We hate them too but if you're driving through Melboune have tolls turned on for Google Maps, the alternative just isn't worth it Hook Turns: Melbourne CBD only. No idea how to do it, avoid or ask Google Driving Directions: Head towards South Eastern Suburbs, M1, follow directions towards Dandenong Ranges If you're driving from the airport, you don't need to drive through Melbourne. Stay on the Fwy and wave at the city as you pass it by. Trams: there are no tram lines along this route but if you do drive in Melbourne don't swerve infront of them, they get grumpy and you'll get squished Weather: Dress for all weather, don't believe the weather forecast. Bring a coat and bathers If you don't like the weather wait 5 mins

Train

Public Transport

Please note that there is limited public transport outside of Melbourne Strongly recommend pre-booking Uber & Taxi's due to limited availability. The furthest train station for the Dandenong Ranges is Belgrave Free Tram Zone: Melbourne CBD Only, all the trams are free! Myki: For the train network and trams outside the Free Tram Zone you'll need a Myki card. You can only buy them at certain train stations, you can't can't buy them on trams or top them up on trams either. It makes no sense to us either. PTV App: for topping up Myki cards and accessing network info
