A short time later, I became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and spotted Staci at a regional conference. We immediately reconnected and the rest is history!

Staci and I met in 1993 through a mutual friend/sorority sister Roni Burkes. We both had just been initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and quickly became friends. Our love of life, outgoing personalities, competitive nature, and leadership capabilities are some traits we both as Leos have in common. Our sorority bond solidified us being Sistas forever.

Staci and I met during undergrad on the campus of Ashland University. It was during the early 90s and I was new to campus. Often I would get mistaken for her…I would hear “Staci, Staci” and of course I kept walking, because in my mind I figured they were calling someone else (smile). Well, after a while and learning my way around campus, I finally met Staci face to face…we exchanged a once over and from that initial greeting, we had a genuine sisterly connection from the very beginning. We have grown from friends, to Sorors, to sisters. We have been through so much together and have been blessed to be part of one another’s families. She is affectionately my “Big Little Sis” as she likes to remind me.

I met Staci when we were 7 & 8 years old at Day Camp. She has always been one of my day one sisters. We always told everyone we were cousins. It went from cousins to sisters. Staci is such a wonderful, beautiful, loyal friend. We go way back like a sound system in a Cadillac. We played basketball together, ran track together, and always have the greatest laughs and best times together. We've been saying we are cousins for so long my family doesn't even know she's not. She's my sister from another mister! She was in my wedding and now I'm about to be in hers! I'm so happy for you Staci! I love you girl! Friends forever, cousins forever, and sisters for life!!!

Staci’s mother and my father are brother and sister, which makes us first cousins. We are exactly 6 months and 1 day apart...so we literally met in the crib/play pen (and have pictures to prove it ). I am sure that she and I were each other’s first friend and we were inseparable until she moved to Akron!

I met Staci at a very young age. Our parents became best friends and we then became family. She was one of the very few people I could spend the night with, from matching bags for day camp, lip gloss and playing jacks our friendship goes on and on. Oh let’s not forget our days at the Comfort Zone, but we will leave that alone lol. So blessed to have Staci in my life.

We later attended graduate school together at Tiffin University and we work for the same agency. We were roommates as well.
