Sam and Ryan initially met online on via a dating app. It's always nerve wrecking when you meet a stranger through the web for all the obvious reasons and then there is that risk of being catfished. Samuel and Ryan actually chatted for a couple of days and then decided to meet up for yogurt at a local fro-yo spot in the city of Queens, where they both lived at the time. Their first date was perfect! They had great conversation, immediately connected with similar interests and laughed a lot! However, they ended up drifting apart because Ryan mentioned that he was contemplating moving out of New York and it just didn't seem worth it to pursue a relationship at that time on both ends. Luckily, life has a way of connecting us no matter what we personally think. A month later Ryan moved to Miami and they ended up staying in touch with each other over the long distance. They would spend nights on FaceTime watching their favorite tv shows together, having virtual dates and falling asleep on the phone. They would fly out to visit each other and then they started to meet each others circle of friends and family. This era in their relationship help strengthen the foundation of their bond and ultimately they knew they had to cut the distance and move closer to each other. Sam made a big leap of faith and left NYC for Miami and the rest is really history! They spent 5 years living near the beautiful beaches and under the sunny skies of Florida. They survived through a global pandemic together and during this time they were blessed with their Doberman Zara! Sam and Ryan leveled up in their careers and eventually left Miami for a calmer life style in Dallas which is where Ryan is originally from. They purchased their first home together and now after almost a decade of knowing each other, they are ready to tie the knot!
