It all started in Spanish class during our second semester of sophomore year at Kennesaw State University. Sam scanned the room, looking for a seat, and his eyes landed on Precious. She, on the other hand, was laser-focused on making sure she had a good view of the board. We liked to think fate had placed us in that classroom together, because from that moment on, a beautiful friendship began. One night, after we both performed in a Greek Week competition, we joined friends to celebrate. Sam, feeling bold (and maybe a little encouraged by a drink or two), made his move. But Precious, still feeling the sting of her team’s second-place finish (and being a self-admitted sore loser), wasn’t having it. Not long after, we decided to go on a date, where we learned our friendship would blossom. Years later, on December 13, 2025, Sam planned what Precious thought was just a birthday trip to Cabo, Mexico. Despite being sick for most of the travel (and not shy about showing it), Sam convinced her to rally for a “really expensive beach dinner.” What she didn’t expect was to arrive at the beach and see her mom and dad with the waves behind them, and the sun setting over the ocean. That was when Sam got down on one knee and asked Precious to be his forever. Now, here we are—planning a wedding and a life built on love, laughter, and above all, faith. We are so thankful for the journey that brought us here and for the love that continues to grow every day. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people we love most.
