We are getting Married !

Sam and Monet met during COVID-19 on an online dating site in the summer of 2020. Something as simple as a photo triggered the start of a beautiful love story. The couple's first date was July 19th,2020 at lake Merritt where they shared a picnic after hiking. After a brief break to focus on themselves the couple rekindled their flame December that year. On December 22nd, Monet invited Sam to the Christmas tree in the San Francisco square . Once at the tree Sam presented Monet with a gift and a poem asking if she would be his girlfriend, to which the answer was yes, of course! Sam being in the military moved to Warner Robins, Georgia where he was stationed at Robins Air Force base. Distance did not stop the couple. The saying, "distance makes the heart grow fonder" proved true as they leaned into the distance and learned about one another growing even closer. The couple spent the following year traveling and discovering the love of food. On November 27th, 2021, Sam proposed to Monet in front of the same Christmas tree that he asked her to be his girlfriend the previous year. Finally after two long years of Disney plus group watch, phone conversation, and FaceTime dates Sam was finally able to transfer back to California where the couple now reside in Sacramento. On December 22nd of this year the couple will say "I do" on their 3rd anniversary!
