Things To Do

Here are our recommendations on things to do, and good food to make the most of your stay in Missoula!

Missoula Downtown Tonight

101 Caras Dr, Missoula, MT 59802

Every Thursday night in the summer, Caras Park comes alive with a live band, food trucks, and an art market — and fun fact: Mariah used to be a vendor there selling her macramé!

Clark Fork Market

225 South Pattee Street, Missoula, MT 59802

During the summer, the Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning on Pattee Street — just down the block from the AC and Residence Inn. Keep heading up Higgins and you’ll find the People’s Market, a lively art and craft market (where Mariah also used to vend!).

Cranky Sams - great for a more casual meal, lunch or dinner, local brews on tap, indoor and outdoor seating.

Drinks

Cocktails: the AC rooftop bar, Plonk (my fav, and go on the rooftop if you can!) , The Grotto or Stave and Hoop for Speakeasy vibes. Wine: Ten Spoon Winery ( Gorgeous vineyard, pizza, a big open lawn which is great for kids and doggos) Beer: Dram Shop Whiskey: Montgomery Distillery

For the Kids

The Missoula Public Library! Seriously! It won best new library in the world a few years back! The second floor has an amazing area for kids, and the views on the top floor are some of the best in Missoula! (It's also one of my nephews favorite places here.) The Butterfly House - great for kids and adults, and a beautiful garden space The Carousel at Caras Park runs all year round, and right next door is the dragon playground. The Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) has paint your own pottery, clay you can mess with, and a free art supply closet if you want to get crafty.

Some final favorites to check out: Radius Gallery - there are quite a few galleries in town - this one is Mariah's favorite MAM Missoula Art Museum - It's free! The Missoula Maker Store - Mariah sells some goods there, and the whole store is from local handmade artists/makers The Montana Antique Mall - 3 stories of really old stuff lol but it's kind of cool and has some unique treasures if you're into that Butterfly Herbs - like an apothecary with great coffee! Big Dipper Ice Cream- it's a classic in Missoula
