Their story started out in a totally normal way: Lauren was really hungover from a carne asada the night before and Sam had allotted 45 minutes for the date before he was going to go get sushi. They met to get boba, and little did Sam know that Lauren was going to talk at him for the next two and a half hours. Sam knew right away that this girl would be different. He texted her, almost immediately, after their first date to ask when he could see her again. They went on three more dates that week! Fast forward two weeks, Lauren and Sam were spending every day together. Sometimes, when you know, you just know. Sam worked hard at breaking down Lauren's walls and getting her to open up. Lauren was enjoying spending time with someone who made her laugh and liked her for her. One weekend, only a few weeks after they started seeing each other, they took a day trip to Bearizona, and Lauren watched the smile on Sam's face as he pulled her towards the javelinas and she knew she was hooked. They both still look back fondly on that day as the changing point in their relationship and a week later, they were spending time together when Lauren asked tearfully, "what do you want from me?" and Sam said "well, I want you to be my girlfriend." Lauren, as we all know as someone who never cries and is totally in control of her emotions, said yes to him and the rest is history.
