Sam and I met on a cold day in January of 2021. We didn't know that we would fall for one another, but the connection was instant. From that day we become nearly inseparable. From pulling all nighters to attempt to study, to talking about our feelings on an old couch, we quickly fell for one another. Then one night, a simple kiss on the forehead changed everything. We were in love.

While I planned to marry Em for a while there was a defining moment. On my birthday, (January 30th) we went out to dinner with my parents. I had already planned to get Em a ring, but on that day I finally decided it was time. I had Em in the car and told her, "Let's go look at rings!" She was taken aback at first and I had to convince her that it was a good idea. She finally caved and we went to Zales. I had her choose three rings and then made the final decision myself. I wanted it to be a surprise which one I picked. After asking her parents for the honor of taking Em's hand in marriage we created a plan. It was simple. We would go out to dinner on March 1st (our anniversary) and I would pop the question. Fortunately for me, she said yes!
