Hi there, I’m Michelle! I met Daphne in early 2018, through a college ministry while we were both student leaders. Although I can’t remember the details of our initial meeting, our friendship itself has been unforgettable and rich. From ministering together, to trips together, and conversations about life, creativity, love, and grief; we have been through and done so much together. Daphne is one of my most consistent friends—always making time for a text, call, visit, making a meal or providing a cozy place to sleep when it’s too late to go home—now she’s even my go to when I have pediatric questions about my son! For all the ways Daphne has been there for me, I’m so honored to now be there for and Sam on their big day!

I say “real” because in traditional Indian culture, we often call close friends and family friends cousins—but Sam and I are actually first cousins by blood. Although we spent much of our childhoods separated by an ocean or two, we’ve grown much closer since he moved to the US, and now we’re great friends.
