Take the ferry from Hubbard's Marina over to Egmont Key and explore the island and abandoned fort. Be sure to bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, walking shoes, and bug spray!
Christen and Sam love spending the day over in Safety Harbor, a cute little town with lots of restaurants and cute shops. They especially recommend eating the Honey Cup pizza at the Nona Slice house, one of their favorite places to grab a slice.
Sam and Christen love exploring the shady hiking trails alongside the river. Any hike in Florida will be relatively easy for all ages or athletic levels, just bring lots of water!
For those looking for a slice of Greece in the middle of Florida, head over to Tarpon Springs. You can easily spend a day here eating delicious greek food and pastries, and shopping either over at the sponge docks or antiquing downtown.
Christen and Sam love taking the boat down the river to Armature Works to grab a coffee in the morning, or meet up with friends for a beer. This is a great place for lunch and a walk down the Riverwalk. Be sure to check out the rooftop bar for a better view!

A hole-in-the-wall dive bar with great pizza and a unique selection of brews and bites. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's definitely a hidden gem.
A lakefront restaurant with live music. Parking is limited, extended parking is located in the dirt lot. Christen and Sam love sitting out on the deck to listen to live music and look out on the lake. Arrive prior to dinner rush to beat the crowds.
Another lakefront restaurant just down the road from Stonewater. This is more of a casual, dive-bar vibe, and they have live music on the weekends!
